The upcoming 2020 Subaru Outback was recently revealed, and as the sixth generation of the Outback, there's plenty for Westerly, RI, drivers to be excited for. The 2020 Outback has a familiar appearance as past models but with fresh exterior features for both practicality and eye-catching design. The real difference will hit Norwich, CT, drivers when they open up the doors or hood.

Find out more about the upcoming 2020 Outback and if it could be right for your daily driving in the Waterford, CT, area.

The 2020 Outback has a sleek new design that combines the familiar with the exciting new exterior features. Groton drivers can expect the Outback design staples with black body cladding, standard roof rails, and a timeless wagonlike appearance, but the Onyx Edition XT trim level comes with features like black exterior accents, 18-inch wheels, and a gray two-tone interior and water-repellent seats.

When East Lyme drivers step into the driver's seat, their eyes will be drawn to the 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This large touchscreen comes standard on every 2020 Outback model except for the base model, which is an exciting step up.

If you look under the hood of the base model, you will find the familiar 2.5-liter BOXER® engine. However, you will notice a difference when you press down on the gas pedal since it now delivers 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking for even more power and agility, the turbocharged option for the Outback returns with the 260-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged engine.
