Here at our New London, CT Subaru dealership, we're about so much more than selling high-quality new and used vehicles and providing reliable and trustworthy service and parts for your Outback, Crosstrek or Impreza model. With our Share the Love community efforts, we proudly contribute to the amazing organizations that mean so much to the people of East Lyme, Groton, Waterford and the other neighboring towns. This year, we're proud to announce that we've donated more than $26,000 to the local Meals on Wheels organization, which impacts so many people in our nearby communities.
Through the Thames Valley Council for Community Action, the local Meals on Wheels chapter helps senior citizens maintain a sense of independence while providing them with much-needed nutritional meals, and, perhaps more importantly, the kind of human contact they need to keep going. We're so proud to be a part of this wonderful effort, as well as all the other great causes around Westerly and Norwich that our Subaru Share the Love program assists with. With support from the national brand and from Subaru of New England, our dealership here in New London touches many parts of the community.
Right now we're really gearing up for continued charitable service around the community. While this year has created additional need for support from local businesses like Secor Subaru, we'll be approaching the holiday season sooner than you think. That's when Subaru really kicks into gear, as the Subaru Love Promise and Share the Love efforts will direct money spent on new models toward great causes like our local Meals on Wheels chapter.
